Featuring 27 visual artists within the Greater DFW Jewish community, Tzva'im presents a range of perspectives expressed through a variety of media, including painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, jewelry, and textile. From abstract, expressionistic 2D and 3D works to stylized figurative and representational art, through their work, these artists open windows into their minds as they navigate their relationships with identity, society, spirituality, culture, nature, and more, using color as an instrument.
This virtual exhibition reinforces the notion that art informs the history we have lived, and the history we create every day, through the works of both emerging and established artists, some native to the DFW metroplex, and others emigrated from across the globe. Excerpts from DJHS Oral History Interviews with participating artists delve further into their backgrounds, curated pieces and artistic practices.
